Space Saving Records Shelving with Security Doors | Office File Systems
This customer needed a space saving records system with security doors for their office. Before purchasing these sliding double deep record shelves, this client had to stack file boxes on top of filing cabinets due to the lack of office floor space. Besides looking unprofessional, the file boxes contained confidential files that needed security. Accessing records from the old filing cabinet system was a strenuous task for employees consisting of climbing a small ladder and having to pull down several record boxes weighing 35 pounds each to retrieve the files they needed. The fully enclosed sliding file shelving solution with one large locking security door required the same amount of floor space as the old file cabinets and file storage boxes, plus an additional 15% growth. The client loves the fact that they don't need to climb a ladder and only have to keep up with file cabinet keys. The double deep shelving has front shelving units that slide back and forth on rails to access files in the back stationary shelving. The large rolling tambour door rolls up into an overhead compartment so no doors or drawers are needed to take up important aisle space. The file security doors are controlled by a touch pad located on the side of the shelving unit. To access the stored files, an employs simply keys in their security code and the doors open and close automatically. This is excellent for file security because you can set a code that only authorized personnel know, which means you can control who has access to the files or other stored items.
